I will form a committee comprising of at least one teacher from all the subjects and start brainstorming along with the principal of the school before implementing leadership for learning.
The best way to do this is to firstly create a group with teachers who will direct the students in a manner where they can insist on giving the students some information on leadership
The approach needs to be constructive. A PLC plan needs to be furnished with different strategies to facilitate learners with leadership roles and to reflect on the nature, skills and processes of learning. This will ensure that learners will learn the art of building relationships within teams and display effective communication and interpersonal skills.
First of all we have to create a group with teachers who will guide and give information about leadership to the students so that they will be able to play their role as leaders
I believe in peaceful co- existence and taking into confidence all the stake holders and give due respect and recognition to the lowest levels of workers if they are honest and dedicated to their work. So, I would prefer inclusive plan strategy by forming a high powered committee to look into the drawbacks and hindrances and effectively chalk out the action and result oriented strategies. Sitting idle is not to my liking...I would incorporate all as a core team for formulating short term plans and starting slowly but catching up as I progress. The school should be a platform for scholastic learning with valued added education and all the employees should be entitled to fair pay wages and respect and torch- beaters for the upliftment of the Secondary School.Reaching out to the secondary level students is the prima- focie of all the Secondary Level Teachers.
Firstly I would like to discuss with all my colleagues about the need to work collaboratively towards the collective good of the learners, staff and the school as a whole. Then the stakeholders will be called in for a discussion. Regular PLC meetings and action plans along with follow-ups will prove beneficial. Feedback from students, colleagues and stakeholders will also help in the purpose.
In practising leadership for learning schools must have enabling conditions for setting learning goals, creating vision, learning culture and evidence based planning. School Heads must practice academic supervision using different techniques, evaluation and feedback for future learning among all teachers. Formation of PLC for techers and school heads is an important approach for learning.
Meeting shall have to be convened comprising all the working community of the institution. The inclusive core committee (PLC) shall be formed to look in to the deeper aspects of the problem and come out with the possible solution as deem fit for improving the teaching learning process.
subject teachers should discuss first among themselves how to felicitate learning, feedback from student and parents. based on the feedback leadership on learning will be analysed and finalized.
First and foremost, motivation among teaching community is a must. Only honest and sincere teachers can take up the role of leadership in learning. Secondly, the children should be motivated to take a lead. They should be able to speak and share their opinions. If English is the barrier for learning, then we should allow them to interact in their local language as well.
Leadership for learning requires team work..not just the principals and teachers but I think the different committees of the school need to take part to make learning and educating students as a whole more productive and helpful.
I would prefer to start with having PLC among all teaching community in the school. We should be able to create such an environment that all healthy sharing of thoughts take place.
It would be appropriate if we start by having a motivational speech from teachers who well informed on leadership training. The training will help to create such an environment which help problem and conflicts through honest dilougues among teachers
I would prefer to start with meeting among teachers and then create an environment which help to solve the problem and conflit through honest dilougues among teachers
With the collaboration of co teachers action plan will be made and discussed how to facilitate and motivate learners to develop confidence of right leadership in the classroom as well as in the school as a whole.
First, would identify the teachers who have leadership quality and asked them to guide the other teachers how to become leaders themselves thereby formulating new ways and means to innovate and improve ourselves the approach in teaching and learning. If all students have to learn, every other stakeholder within and outside education system must engage in learning consciously as lifelong learners.
1.Facilitate good communication among members of a team 2.Inspire for a dynamic teamwork 3.Motivate with commitment needed to foster improvement 4.Innovate for solving problems and providing feedback 5.Keep learning 6.Set goals or directions in positivity
A group has to be created consisting of faculty members for discussion before implementing leadership for learning. Through various programs students will be able to participate given a leadership task this will enable teachers to guide and motivate them in becoming good leaders..
Leadership for learning requires vision, patience, valuable, hardworking, and teamwork as well.It is very important to provides a chance to students to perform the role of a leader by guiding them in proper way.Teachers must be a role model to them.
First I will set a group of teacher from all suject and make them choose a leader who has the best knowledge, patience, who can motivate and who can guide for the best as for teachers and student..
Before we proceed for effective implementation of leader for learning, I think we need to have a thorough and an open discussions among principals, trainers and any stakeholders concerned and set up a plan to be based according to the needs and guidelines of leader for learning processes. Leadership for learning should be diversified among trainers and every one should actively involved in the process as part of motivational role for the trainers and students as well..
Leadership for training is a multi-dimensional process. It requires team work . In practicing leadership for learning, the school must have enabling conditions for setting learning goals, creating vision, learning culture, setting up of relevant academic structure and processes and focus on improving students learning. Regular PLC meetings and action plans is an important approach in practicing leadership for learning.
Leading by action would be the best approach. Taking all stakeholders into confidence, I will involve them in making major decisions, solving problems, planning for improvement, etc. Our focus will be on a shared vision and setting goals. I will ensure that we have regular PLC meetings to review the state of student learning, examine resources, plan to introduce new skills and strategies, etc. Involving all stakeholders in different PLCs will motivate them to contribute to the achievement of our shared visions and goals.
First of all, call a meeting with all the teachers and school heads/ teachers for discussion before implementing leadership for learning. Formation of PLC is necessary so that they share their ideas and work together and set up their goals and improve students learning.
Stakeholders play an important role in managing schools. They are the partners of the school leaders in making the schools conducive to teaching and learning. They are also responsible for the achievement of the learning outcomes through their active participation in school activities, programs and projects. Therefore, a time to time meeting of the stakeholders is essential where they can bring out ideas and at the same time learn from each other. It would be the best decision if each one of them are given a task to carry out on how to improve the condition of the learning process.
Create and provide a conducive and healthy school environment where secondary school learners can learn independently, effectively, creatively and confidently, keeping in mind the challenges, problems and setbacks these leaners face in their day to day life be it personally or academically.
First and foremost we need to have a get together meeting involving the principal, managing committee, teachers and other staffs concerning the specific field. Open discussion, giving feedbacks, formulating a vision and mission statement, keeping targets, discussion on remedies to carry out the process, developing mutual understanding and cooperation. Distribution of tasks and collaboration of all members can help.
The first thing is to encourage students to organize programme in the school ,give them the responsibility to incharge in various activities in the school I.e. to plan ,to organise, to select participants etc. In this way students will develop the leadership qualities.
I think the approach needs to be constructive. I would prefer inclusive plan strategy by forming a high level committee. Regular PLC meetings and action plans along with follow up will be beneficial. Schools must have enabling conditions for setting learning goals, creating vision, learning culture and evidence based planning. Feedback from students, colleagues and stakeholders will also help in this purpose.
First of all discussion among the subject teachers and choosing one member from each subject form a committee including the Principal start planning and organise necessary activities
The conditions that need to be created for implementing leadership learning are: Create free and peaceful atmosphere Attentive listening on the part of the leaders Have far sighted and clear-cut vision Be value-oriented person Promote team work and team Spirit Innovate new ways in solving the problems Be impartial to every one who comes for seeking help Be firm at the same time be friendly, gentle, kind and compassionate towards others
The key for implementing leadership for learning is to help students achieve their personal best, leading them towards quality personality development by constantly setting high but realistic performance goals and striving towards unlocking their potential.
First and foremost we need to create a PLC, then have open discussions, involve all stakeholders in making major decisions, planning for improvement, formulating a vision, keeping in mind the problem and conflicts and then solving problems.
First of all I have to identify teachers having leadership qualities to guide students in various ways related to grooming and training so that they are equipped as leaders in their respective fields.
Leadership for learning required a calloborative and co-operative approach between teacher-head,teacher-teacher and teacher-student to facilitate the learning process in a productive culture. This approach can also be extended to the community involving stakeholders.
Conditions for implementing leadership for learning for secondary schools can be Created by 1. Becoming a leader , invite colleagues to join hands . 2. Allow suggestions from each one. 3. Make a Report 4. Let students and parents involve in creating Conditions.
First and foremost, teachers need to get some training on leadership skills. We can have a workshop in the college. Incorporate the things we learn amongst us and then start involving students and parents in various groups to ensure that the child can learn to be responsible not only in a classroom setting but in a social setting as well.
Teachers must create an environment where students don't feel left out, and must ensure they feel included. Teachers are required to take note of the strengths of each student. Guidance should be given on what is needed to take up leadership roles.
The conditions that need to be created for implementing leadership learning are discussion among the teachers, creating a PLC, grooming and training teachers, etc
First of all, there should be a conducive environment for learning . Collaborative effort by the teachers and the stakeholders and formation of PLC will pave the way for implementing leadership learning in secondary school.
For the smooth functioning of school team work is very important. I would call a meeting and would allocate the work according to the abilities and skills of the teaching and mon teaching staffs.Suggestions/ feedback from the teaching staffs, non teaching staffs, parents and students would be taken into consideration.
A group of instructors who will mentor and teach young people on leadership is needed first in order for them to fulfil their responsibility as leaders. Effective learning leadership necessitates learning objectives, a vision, a learning culture, and evidence-based planning. Academic monitoring, evaluation, and feedback must be provided by school administrators to all instructors.
Formation of PLC is important approach to learning.i would discuss among the teachers, principal as well as the stakeholders about implementing leadership in learning.leadership for learning required a collaborative approach
Leadership for learning requires team work--- a collaborative effort by the teachers and stakeholders. It allows for a variety of ways for student learning through composite effect of methods, approaches etc.It must attempt to remove hurdles, emphasize on asking right questions, encourage learning across all leaders as well as students and work from their vantage points to scoop talent and spread innovation
We teachers should first imbibe the quality of leadership and confidence. Students look upto their teachers. We teachers should inculcate the quality of leadership from grassroot level
Conditions for creating leadership for learning are:
The prime importance is basically by conducting a survey on vital parameters to achieve leadership for learning and to understand the nature and characteristics of the school in totality. Based on collected data and gathered information, evaluation, planning and designing for fulfilling leadership for learning can be done in the context and needs of the school.
With vision for the future and planning for actions to achieve the goals, based on the context of the school and available resources, will the assessment methods be simple, measurable, achievable, rational and can be done or implemented in a targeted time frame or not? Wise judgements, decisions and implementation are important for creating leadership for learning.
Defining curricular goals for the efficacy of teaching-learning processes, professional development, enhancing learning culture, supervision in academic and other curricular activities as well as proper documentation or maintaining of evidence in every aspect of learning has to be made regularly.
School alone cannot effectively function. Collaboration and congenial relationship and participation need to be built with all stakeholders by focusing on both academic subjects as well as planning for integration with vocational. This will be one of the great challenges to many institutions as we are heading towards what envisioned and outlined by the NEP 2020. The task will not be easy as this will be based on fulfilling the needs of the curriculum and in building and moulding learners' learning of the 21st century.
With ever expanding knowledge and advancement in technology, where the learners are exposed to it, teachers' professional development and competencies building, requires regular training for improving and enhancing learning, especially when integration of ICTs in teaching-learning becomes a part and parcel of normal classroom environment.
Education is not static. Recorded data, collected information and proper documentation has to be maintained to provide scope for evidence, reading, planning and deciding or making future plans as well as implementing strategies or even in achieving desired goals.
Effort to ensure academic supervision through mentoring will be encouraged with help of an effective facilitator. This can be achieved through proper planning, ideal learning environment, appropriate guidance, motivation and regular monitoring.
Allowing and promoting sharing of experiences, and raising or expressing concern by teachers will help them to reflect, give feedback and provide more scope for corrective measures that will help in bringing improvement in teaching-learning process as well as enhancing learning outcomes among students.
Forming a professional learning community is mandatory. This will provide a platform for interacting, sharing of knowledge, expertise, experiences as well as planning for remedial measures and even future strategies to achieve goals of education.
In order to create conditions for implementing leadership for learning in my school, I would first of all make all the stakeholders understand the fact that learning can never be saturated and that it is a never ending process and that to achieve optimum learning goals, the educators themselves have to be learning and upgrading themselves all the time. Then the setting up of various goals, ways to achieve them and formation of PLCs,etc. would come next.
The conditions for implementing leadership for learning for my secondary school are as follows: . A clear and shared focus . High standards and expectations for all students . Effective school leadership . Create a culture oh collaboration and communication among the staffs, students and with families and communities . Frequent monitoring of learning and teaching . Positive classroom climate . High levels of school resources.
Regular PLC meetings is needed in order to form leadership for learning to discuss and state the students performance in general and in particular. Involving Stakeholders in the PLC meetings enable us to motivate our our performance as teachers and the students as a whole Inorder to have a vision and mission in the teaching-learning process
Team work is necessary for implementing leadership for learning. So diffrent communities and the school is needed to take part to make learning and educating the students how ti create condition for learning of your school.
To implement leadership effectively, I will distribute various activities among the teachers which will be selected on the basis of their previous performance in specific fields. Even the students can be involved.
Firstly, I will request principal to call for a PLC meeting. Then form a core committee, where members will be from different subjects. The core committee will make a annual curriculum for the school. After preparing the curriculum, select students (boys and girls) who can lead the class. Then take seminar about the leadership approach. Now it comes to the hand of team (teacher and student) to implement the plan. They will go to their respective classes and tell their peer group about their planning. Every movement should be time bound. The team should report the core committee every month about their progress. It will become easy to find out first learners as well as slow learners. This we as a teaching community will help everyone in the class room to come up. All these programmes should be done in the first month after opening of the school. One important thing to be noted here, every month the students representatives should be changed. In this way, all the students will get chance to develop their innovative ideas.
One measure of a leader’s success is the number of leaders he or she has developed or grown, and the number who have moved on to take up leadership roles. Growing leaders is not just about picking out the willing and able; it is also about leadership engagement; that is, ensuring all teachers are engaging in leadership activities at some level or another. This means a focus on each teacher taking responsibility for his or her own responsibilities and professional learning. At every level, all teachers needs to be totally responsible for the quality of teaching that they provide to their pupils and then be encouraged and empowered to support others in that responsibility. This is leadership and it can start with the individual at classroom level
First and foremost students and teachers will have to be motivated about the importance of leadership in the school. Motivated teachers will sit together and plan about the future course of action. Motivated students will be divided into groups and each group will be under the guidance and supervision of at least one or two teachers. Leadership qualities will thus be imparted initially at the micro level and finally a school group will be formed and leadership training will be given at the macro level.
The key for implementing leadership for learning is to help students achieve their personal best, leading them towards quality personality development by constantly setting high but realistic realistic performance goals and striking towards unlocking their potential.conditions for implementing leadership for learning can be created by be coming a leader, leadership learning are discussion for implementing leadership for learning.Leading by action would be the best
Collaborative and cooperative guidance would be the most effective and efficient solution for implementing leadership in the secondary school. The development of leadership qualities or helping students in blooming of their own individuality and qualities can be achieved only if students are given an opportunity to express themselves. Therefore, holding group discussions and seminars could be effective in this aspect of teaching.
Good leadership in schools is vital for improving the learning outcomes of students. Some points to implement leadership effectively are setting and and agreeing goals, providing development opportunities, particularly work based leadership ones, coaching and mentoring from experienced leaders and learning from effective role models.
Good school leadership should have a strong focus on continued professional development.Educational leaders should practice critical thinking, empathy, collaboration and flexibility in a variety of work environment and with a variety of people in order to engage, lead and effect change in a meaningful way.
Firstly, the principal, teachers together with some student form a group, discuss with them the concept and let them play or perform the roll of leadership guide by the teacher. This condition make the studentto learn better rather than assessment.
Assignment of teachers into different groups is important, get them leadership training first and then execute the purpose among the groups of teachers
First and foremost Is to form group with teachers Accept each other's weakness and move their weakness to a positive direction Focus more on something that is constructive. Cooperation should be encouraged Teachers should conduct various activities so as to developed the skills of leadership.
to achieve the requirement of leadership it is important to assign designated responsibility to different teachers such as creating different clubs to facilitate learning and also teach leadership. teachers can be made the head of the or and advisor to the group and the students can be members of the club. this can be a useful means to improve leadership in both teachers as well as the students most of the proposed action plan needs to be practice in order to achieve desired result
PLC meeting every month to be held between all teachers and also between subject teachers to discuss different issues or problems faced by teachers and helping one another out in bringing about a joyful environment of teaching and learning.
Collecting all teachers and tell them about leadership or some pamphlet are printed to let teachers know about how leadership is being one of an important aspect in school, letting teachers know about it is helpful for the students too. Teachers will not act just as a guide or a provider of knowledge in a classroom but a facilitator in the school as a whole.
The creation of PLC is a must for the holistic development of a school. The PLC would incorporate all the teachers and encourage a healthy discussion to identify and mitigate the issues plauging the school.
First of all we have to give each and every student the opportunity to perform the role of a leader and guide them to form a group with teachers who will guide and give information about leadership.
I would create a good and understable communication with my colleagues, planning together for the welfare of the students by involving them to be a leader in different categories.
Mostly we see that when teachers are assigned as leaders to be responsible for different kinds of school activities or students related activities the work usually run smoothly. So in this way we can say that with teachers guidance and with the cooperation of all the teachers and the head of the institution we can help in achieving the best of this result
First and foremost, the head of the institution must be dynamic and efficient. Teachers as leaders can only function if the head has leadership skills. So I as a leader supervisor would first get to know my students first hands and find out their difficulties and in this way guide my to tackle the shortcomings
Team work is the best approach to create a strong team and strong sense of collective responsibility and then guide and motivate students to be a good leader.
Leadership for learning involves different stakeholders which include students, parents, community and system level functionaries. It is important for all members to be continuous and lifelong learners and visionaries to bring about all round development of the student-learning outcomes. Key values like transparency, integrity, goal directedness perseverance, etc.that bring about positive changes in the entire education system should be encouraged.
The approach needs to be constructive. A PLC plan needs to be furnished with different strategies to facilitate learners with leadership roles and to reflect on the nature, skills and processes of learning. This will ensure that learners will learn the art of building relationships within teams and display effective communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership in School is a cooperative efforts of all its stakeholders. In order to promote leadership in learning it is important for all the stakeholder to actively participate in the various activities of the school. This can be achieved in number of ways. to name a few 1. Identifying the strength and weakness of the stakeholders and applying appropriate remedial actions necessary. 2. Forming professional learning committees to formulate proper plan and strategies for the learning - teaching transaction. 3. Organizing professional development programmes to enhance the competency of the teachers.
First and foremost, a meeting of all the teaching and non- teaching staff along with the head should be held so as to understand the meaning of LfL. Next move is, plan out a way to explain the meaning and benefits of LfL to the parents , students, community and stakeholders. Until and unless everyone concerned understand the meaning of it then the execution of LfL becomes an arduous task.
Set up a group of teachers along with the principal as a leader or it it can be a PLC . Here we can talk about and understand Lfl . Then we can experiment it with our students.
There has to be teamwork and understanding among all the stakeholders. Regular orientations of teachers, leadership seminars to be held to create a sense of togetherness and creating visions for the school. Group sessions will help bring forth leadership qualities in individuals and will act as a platform for recognition and building confidence whether for teachers or students.
For implementing leadership for learning in our secondary school first we should create a healthy environment in our school. Leadership for learning required a collaboration and cooperation approach between the principal, teacher - teacher and teacher students to facilitate the learning process in a productive culture, by dividing the students in various groups and allowing them to perform the role of a leader to develop confidence of right leader and assign with responsibilities to enable them to develop leadership skills in the classroom, in the school, in the community as well as in the society.
First of all, collaboration among the principal,SMC,teachers and even patents will help in promoting leadership in learning.PLC meetings should be conducted regularly and Action Plan within a time bound should be made along with followup and feedback . One way of developing leadership skills among teachets and students is by having them learn directly ftom successful leaders. These leaders can be mentors and give guidance to teachers and students.Motivation and encouragement by teachers to students help them to come out of the shell. Organising various competitions like quiz, debate, extempore speech etc ,help students develop teamwork and leadership skills.
For implementing leadership for learning, it's best if we can give different assignments to the students and see how they will conduct themselves and express their potentialities. In this way, we will be able to identify their strength and weakness and by allowing them to participate in the activities that they are interested will make them to share their experiences and ideas as well
Good leadership in schools is vital for improving the learning outcomes of students.Researches show a clear connection between skilled school leadership and positive student learning outcomes. It's proof that good leadership in schools makes a direct impact on students' experience and performance.
We can follow certain steps as 1.setting and agreeing goals. 2. providing development opportunities, particularly work-based leadership ones. 3.coaching and mentoring from experienced leaders. 4.learning from effective role models. 5. Making a necessary PLC before implementation.
Involve students in Leadership opportunities in the classroom, from heading a discussion of a lesson to handling out papers. Provide good examples, deliver Leadership lessons on why it is valuable as a life skill. Involve them in extra curricular activities. When students are given Leadership opportunities we as teachers need to give them space and freedom to work and make choices. With proper guidance a child can develop meaningful leadership roles in school and hence in future.
Leadership for learning requires team work.I would start first with a meeting among teachers to discuss an action plan to be carried out,so as to develop the leadership skills.
Creating a club comprising of management, teachers and students who share same ideal towards team building and creating the conducive atmosphere for leaderships skills , communication skills and most importantly giving importance to the mental health of students will encourage them. It might be noted that the adult members of such groups such as teachers and management should be able to meet the expectations of students mostly in giving guidance and support which are appropriate with the requirements of the times. In addition exposure of students to different avenues in academics as wel as preparation for future aspects through career counsellors and motivational speakers which are in tandem with the present level of the students.
Leadership for learning require team efforts between the school leaders & the teachers. This also implies between teachers and their students to cater to and to enable towards better performance & positive results.
To create leadership for learning requires teamwork, team co-operation along with the other stakeholders. Sharing the problems, new issues, new ideas, new methods and techniques with the principal/head, teachers and other concern authority. Inside the school forming PLC member among all the subject teacher and interacting with the students, motivating them to take a lead to speak and share their opinions. In that way we should be able to create productive and healthy sharing of thoughts and learning between the teacher and the students in the school
To implement Leadership for Learning in a Secondary School we need to look at the following areas. 1) As Leader (School head) one must take into consideration the advice of all the teachers. He/she must be able to take all together for the upliftment of School 2) Committees must be formed to look into the various domains of development with a convener in each committee. 3) Monthly PLC meeting must be conducted to share the ideas among the professionals. 3) School Head must be the example setter by practising the activities that helps in the development of School.
First of all teacher will have to create a group who will guide and give information about leadership to student so that they will be able to play their role as a leader.
Inorder to create conditions for implementing leadership for learning is to form a committee of teachers who will guide the students and inculcate the leadership qualities among them.
To create a condition for implementing leadership for learning is to first create a group amongst the teacher then set a goal/ plan, motivate the students as well as teachers and distribute certain activities to the students so that they can take the responsibilities and play the role of a leader.
Leadership for learning can be implemented by first working on oneself, by being a great listener, motivator, negotiator, value leader, etc. Then the second stage can take place whereby a team can be form to help with the needs of the school, students and teachers. PLC is a must especially because it will benefit the school as a whole.
Vision is perhaps one of the most important qualities a leader can have as it provides momentum and direction, not just for the team leader but for each and every team member. Of course, in order for leaders to be successful in pursuing their vision and enacting their plan, they must pair their vision with unrelenting passion. Vision and passion from an effective leader should generate inspiration, motivation and excitement that permeates throughout the school.
calling of PLC for the subject, having a thorough discussion with all my colleagues, using of different pedagogical method in the class room, strictly follow rules and regulations in school etc.
Firstly, groups of10 students are formed and a topic is assigned to each group. Each group is allowed to discuss on a topic within alloted time and each group has to submit to the teacher the resolution . The role of the teacher here is only to observe the deliberation of each group. This is done purposely to enable each group to produce a leader. Secondly, students are allowed ta ask questions freely without holding back their doubts on a topic of discussion.
The foremost step to implement leadership for learning is to convene meetings or form committees and discuss about the ways to implement leadership. This can be achieved if all teachers are willing to give a helping hand in formulating and innovate leadership feeling among students.
In order to generate conditions for implementing leadership for learning, the schools must provide enabling conditions like setting of targets or learning goals, framing a vision statement or a mission statement for the school, create a learning culture and involve all teachers in groups or teams in activities so that a natural leader can emerge who can carry the rest of the team. School Principals must ensure constant supervision using different methods, evaluation and feedback for identifying positive traits in each teacher and use that to the maximum advantage. Ms B Lamare
PLC plan subject wise to furnish with different strategies to facilitate learners with leadership roles and to reflect on nature, skills, and process of learning and outcome Sujata Chakraborty
To implement leadership for learning, motivation is a must, speech from a well informed leadership person, students should be given opportunity to perform the role of a leader.
Vision is very important. Leadership for learning becomes more effective with team work.. So we can begin by forming committees... We can start by motivating the Teachers ..
1. Forming of a committee which comprises of at least one teacher from each subject. 2. Have a PLC meeting to discuss on implementing leadership for learning , furnished with different strategies to facilitate learners with leadership roles and to reflect on the nature, skills and processes of learning. This will ensure that learners will learn the art of building relationships within teams and display effective communication and interpersonal skills
Form different committees in PLC meeting , like Green committee (environment), Activities/ competition committee, sports & games, Discipine, sanitation, function / special event, school magazine committees etc with the Teachers incharge . Then divide students to be the members of different committees and distribute duties & responsibilities ...will motivate Leadership .
Leadership is the ability to guide or direct others in response to a group's needs and goals. This involves both personal and interpersonal skills that are essential for guiding others and uniting individuals as a team. Learning these skills in high school provides the opportunity for young leaders to develop these types of skills early enough to establish good leadership habits for the present and future. For example, if high school students have practiced making decisions, motivating others, and planning a strategy to achieve a goal, then they are more likely to effectively do so as an adult. There are many ways that a high school student can build leadership skills. Some of these methods include:
1. Role-playing activities 2. Group exercises 3.Self-development
Leadership for learning requires. Facilitate good communication among members of a team. Inspire for dynamic teamwork. Motivate with commitment needed to foster improvement. Innovate for solving problems and providing feedback. Keep learning. Set goal.
A committee is needed headed by teachers...to guide the students to inculcate the qualities of leadership how to develop a spirit or trained student to be leader rather than to be followers
For practising leadership in schools the school must have enabling conditions for setting learning goals, creating vision, learning culture and evidence based planning. School Heads must practice academic supervision using different techniques, evaluation and feedback for future learning among all teachers. Formation of PLC for techers and school heads is an important approach for learning.
For implementing leadership in schools,it is very important to keep upto date with the latest teaching technologies, to work with other teaching staff to understand their personal development needs and skills, and seek regular feedback and data on student performance ,and to foster good relationships with parents, students etc .
The best way to implement leadership for learning in our secondary school are: Listen to the students. Communicate with the students on their desires/concerns. Make the final decisions based on the input shared by the students. Encourage the students in their tasks/activity/performance etc... Maintain a positive attitude with the students Take responsibility for the outcome of the input and output of the students.
Creating a teacher Student friendly environment where students can feel free to share their doubts , assigning them various activities where a random student is selected to lead a particular activity and one student to monitor . In this way we can assess then .. and they can build up their leadership skills .
Leadership for learning requires team work. We have to create a group with teachers who can guide and give information about leadership to the students so that they will be able to play their role as leaders.
Leadership requires teamwork, so together with the teacher and students we will a group and one teacher will guide and give information about leadership to students so that they will play their role as leaders in their society.
Entrust students the responsibility and giving each one of them the chance to perform the role of a leader and as a teacher we must guide them in the process.
An effective and constructive planning should be carried out for a positive outcome. In this regard, all stakeholders should be taken into confidence to set goals and plan strategies so that they too feel responsible and contribute towards a positive learning outcome . Regular PLC meetings should be held to discuss the problems, obstacles and difficulties after a proper assessment of the same is carried out. Thereafter, solutions can be suggested and concrete measures may be undertaken. Goals and targets should be set with the aim to achieve them. Further, it is necessary to receive feedback to learn about the outcome and the benefits in order to decide on the future course of action. To ensure a proactive teaching environment and a successful learning experience, constant motivation, supervision, guidance and suggestions are necessary to be provided to the teachers which in turn would help to establish a healthy teacher-student relationship. A warm, friendly and reliable teaching-learning environment is essential to ensure a positive and successful learning outcome.
'A Leader is one who influences or lead others'.If I get an opportunity to be leader than firstly I will create a core committee with my colleagues who can look into the drawbacks and hindrances faced by both teacher and students and also to find necessary solution to hindrances one by one.I would conduct PLC meeting atleast once in a month where teacher can discuss the field which needs to be improved and what action to be taken.I would increase responsibility of Students to inculcate leadership in them too.
Instill a sense of unity and team work among teachers for the benefit of students. Supporting the ideas of every child technique's to explanation of their creativity and understanding towards learning.
I would prefer to start a commitee of all the subject and discuss the related problems and then form a PLC of specific group for the problem to be discuss and then finally the teacher will train the students for leadership qualities.
Co-operation, teamwork, good communication, discussion and respect between teachers are important conditions for promoting leadership in a secondary school.
Firstly collaboration effort should be made by all the teachers and then the most able leader from among the staff should chalk out the detail approach to be carried out by the staff to implement leadership qualities of the students.
Describe how you will create conditions for implementing leadership for learning for your secondary school? Share Your Thoughts
Th first task would be to evaluate the present position of the school -- its strengths and weaknesses. Then we would need to prioritize areas that need more and urgent attention. Next discuss solutions. and then implement.
I would prefer inclusive plan strategy by forming a high powered committee to look into the drawbacks and hinderences and effectively chalkout the action and result oriented strategies. The school should be a platform for scholastic learning and value added education and shall take feedback from the student and colleagues with help in the purpose.
Firstly we have to create a group with teachers who will guide and give information about leadership to the students so that they will be able to play their role as leaders.
At first i shall meet the principal to ask permission for having a meeting among teachers to discuss on leadership and how to go about. Secondly with the cooperation of my colleagues, leadership quality can be shared and discuss among students to help them becoming effective leader in future.
The important key values like transparency, integrity, perseverance, positive attitude, willingness to understand and listen, problem solving and many others that bring about positive changes in the entire education system should be encouraged. Leadership for learning involves different stakeholders which include staffs, students, parents, school boards, families and community organisations . It is important for all members to be continuous and lifelong learners and visionaries to bring about all round development helping them to become great leaders in future.
We have to create a group and a team with teachers who will guide and provide information about leadership to students so that they will be able to play their role as leaders.

Then the stakeholders will be called in for a discussion. Regular PLC meetings and action plans along with follow-ups will prove beneficial. Feedback from students, colleagues and stakeholders will also help in the purpose.
With the collaboration of co teachers action plan will be made and discussed how to facilitate and motivate learners to develop confidence of right leadership in the classroom as well as in the school as a whole
Leadership for learning requires a collaborative and cooperative approach between the various stake holders including the head, the teachers, the non teachingstaff,,students and parents. Teamwork is important whereby PLCs should be formed and meetings should be regularly carried out so that any problem arise can be sorted out.
The main thing is to have different committees in the school which include teachers and students and to allow the students to exercise their leadership qualities in the said committees with the involvement of the teachers as guide, together with the support of the principal and the entire faculty of the school. The leadership quality of the teachers is as equally important in encouraging the students to go along the same line.
We have to arrange programs on leadership skills and qualities to foster leadership learning among students. Teachers can also divide students into groups for discussion on different topics and a leader can be elected to represent each group.
Leadership for learning requires collaboration among teachers, forming groups for students, and a teacher who for the first session will provide guidance to students. This should be followed by continous evaluation by the teacher guide.
Sketch your dream house using the three dimensional shapes like sphere, cone, cuboid, cube etc. and count the number of shapes you have used in the sketch. Appreciate the architectural beauty of the created sketch by using any medium of expression of your choice. You may express your thoughts in the form of a limerick (5 line humorous poem with lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyming to each other) or in the form of expressive passages. Share your limerick.
Think about a situation when your son/daughter did something that you disliked. You felt really bad/hurt about it. Now analyze the situation in the light of these: what they had done? Why did they behave/say in this manner? How did you react to it? How differently could you respond in this situation? Share your reflection.
I will form a committee comprising of at least one teacher from all the subjects and start brainstorming along with the principal of the school before implementing leadership for learning.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to do this is to firstly create a group with teachers who will direct the students in a manner where they can insist on giving the students some information on leadership
ReplyDeleteThe approach needs to be constructive. A PLC plan needs to be furnished with different strategies to facilitate learners with leadership roles and to reflect on the nature, skills and processes of learning. ReplyDeleteI believe in peaceful co- existence and taking into confidence all the stake holders and give due respect and recognition to the lowest levels of workers if they are honest and dedicated to their work.
ReplyDeleteFirstly I would like to discuss with all my colleagues about the need to work collaboratively towards the collective good of the learners, staff and the school as a whole. ReplyDeleteStakeholders play an important role in managing schools. ReplyDeleteThe key for implementing leadership for learning is to help students achieve their personal best, leading them towards quality personality development by constantly setting high but realistic performance goals and striving towards unlocking their potential.
ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost we need to create a PLC, then have open discussions, involve all stakeholders in making major decisions, planning for improvement, formulating a vision, keeping in mind the problem and conflicts and then solving problems.

Incorporate the things we learn amongst us and then start involving students and parents in various groups to ensure that the child can learn to be responsible not only in a classroom setting but in a social setting as well.
ReplyDeleteTeachers must create an environment where students don't feel left out, and must ensure they feel included. Teachers are required to take note of the strengths of each student. Guidance should be given on what is needed to take up leadership roles.

ReplyDeleteThe prime importance is basically by conducting a survey on vital parameters to achieve leadership for learning and to understand the nature and characteristics of the school in totality.
ReplyDeleteFor this, it is important to form professional learning committee sa that we can share ideas and thoughts. .Also team work is necessary.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I will request principal to call for a PLC meeting. Then form a core committee, where members will be from different subjects. The core committee will make a annual curriculum for the school.
ReplyDeleteAfter preparing the curriculum, select students (boys and girls) who can lead the class.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, the principal, teachers together with some student form a group, discuss with them the concept and let them play or perform the roll of leadership guide by the teacher.
ReplyDeleteThis condition make the studentto learn better rather than assessment.
Assignment of teachers into different groups is important, get them leadership training first and then execute the purpose among the groups of teachers
ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost Is to form group with teachers
ReplyDeleteAccept each other's weakness and move their weakness to a positive direction
Focus more on something that is constructive.

to achieve the requirement of leadership it is important to assign designated responsibility to different teachers such as creating different clubs to facilitate learning and also teach leadership. teachers can be made the head of the or and advisor to the group and the students can be members of the club. this can be a useful means to improve leadership in both teachers as well as the students
