Course 9: Activity 6- Organisation of Field Visits to Industry - Share your thoughts
The field visit is an educational procedure by which each student gains or learns information by observing events and other real-life activities at the workplace. What problems can you encounter in organisation of the field visits for the vocational students and how would you resolve those problems? Share your thoughts.
Vocational education is that form of instruction designed to prepare people for industrial or commercial employment. It can be acquired either formally in trade schools, technical secondary schools, or in on-the-job training programs or, more informally, by picking up the necessary skills on the job
ReplyDeleteField visits are always helpful for practical insight to students and an experience of real life. Teachers may face problems due to lack of their vocational skill.
DeleteVocational training for Teachers will be helpful in this regard
The field visit in an educational procedure by which each students gains or learns information by observing events and other real- like activities at the workplace creates some iota of doubts to the students and the teachers as well, for the teacher may not be vocationally trained and to convince the students to take them to one such workplace may not be comprehended by the students because they mostly believe in classroom teaching and rote memory. The terms Vocation' may be connotes by the learners as a mere hobby but not skilled- based education to teach the different skills for self- sustainance. The same goes with the teacher who is not properly acquainted with the exact meaning and purpose of Vocational Education and may not have the first hand information of the matter, per se.Fair enough because we are living in the world where academic grades are given more importance than Vocational Occupation.
ReplyDeleteThe problems are numerous but the solution is also there.First and foremost, before taking the learners to the Vocational Training Centre, the educators should have the first hand information of the types of such training and should take some special classes to tell the students either orally or through presentations of slides, showing pictures, briefing them about the career opportunities in Vocational Eduction, showing videos of various skills of Vocational learning and through power- point presentation(PPT).Thus students will know before hand the basics of Vocational Education and then taking them to one such workplace will be quite easy, convincing and informative and result- yielding offing.
Field visit is an educational procedure by which students gain/ learned information by observing of a real life activities at the work place. Thera may ba problems at first because students are use to class room teaching but before taking the students to the vocational training center briefing and showing videos of various skills is a must so that students will understand the structure of a work place
ReplyDeleteThe strength of the class may cause a problem. It may be difficult for teachers to handle a huge number of students.
ReplyDeleteLack of funds.
Lack of interest.
Field visits require extra funds, manpower, transportation costs, planning, it is also time consuming, tiring. But it is worth practising, the benefits will surely outshadowed the problems faced. We overcome the problems by carefully planning, chalking out stategies, seeking cooperation from others, contributing and collecting funds from all the stakeholders.
ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few problems in arranging a field trip for students such as lack of support from school management, arrangements and funds associated, lack of knowledge of teachers themselves and lack of enthusiasm of students among many others.
ReplyDeleteThe problems can be resolved by firstly convincing the management about the importance and that students will be benefited. Students also need to be prepared and involved by the teachers well in advance and how such experience will help them, discussion with parents, preparation by teachers to be able to guide students better.
The strength of the class may be one of the cause, arrangements of funds and also time consuming. So it may be difficult for teachers to handle a huge no. Of students. But we can overcome all the problems by careful planning ,plan strategies , asking colleagues to cooperate and collecting funds from stakeholders
ReplyDeleteIt is good idea to have a field educational visit to work place. However, the problems are many. First thing it is not possible to do so for children from rural schools. Secondly, it is expensive and time consuming. To organise such trips is possible only once in a while at children's expence.
ReplyDeleteIt would be better if children are taken to ITI once in a while to make see things on their own.
The Problems we may encounter in organizing these trips may emerge from:
ReplyDelete* Problem 1- Planning the trip
*Problem 2- Funding assistance
* Problem 3- Time management
* Problem 4- Safety for students
* Problem 5- Transportation
* Problem 6- Engaging students
* Problem 7- Parental consent.
* Problem 8- Trip guide.
These are just a few worth mentioning.
Field visit is a part and parcel of teaching learning process, but taking students for the trip there might be few problems like time factor, expenditures etc, solution to the problems is only when institutions have fund.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good idea to have a field trip provided we plan ahead regarding time and finances.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem in taking students for a field trip is the overall expenditure.. Students would be excited to visit any work place after having a clear concept of the subjects matter it will motivate them more in skill development and vocational education.
ReplyDeleteThe problems that we can encounter are: problem of transportation, field trips can be expensive and discipline problem. To resolve these problems, teachers can organise/ host fund raiser for students, and teachers can enforce strict rules while away from school grounds.
ReplyDeleteEducational field trip is very important for a learner where he will encounter a situation of real life activities after schooling / education. . It develops the child the interest in his present / future education. He will experience his strength and weakness in achieving his goals.
ReplyDeleteQ. What problems can you encounter in organisation of the field visits for the vocational students and how would you resolve those problems?
ReplyDeleteThe problems that we can encounter in organisation of the field visits are -
Funding: We can approach the proper authority for funding or organise fundraising for the trip.
Transportation: We should contact the transportation department beforehand so as to avoid any delays or cancellation of the trip.
Planning the Trip: The trip should be a well planned trip so that the time is well managed.
The Educational Aspects of a Field Trip: The stops for the destination should be kept well informed so that they are related to the state’s standards of learning.
Engaging students: A through research of the places to go for the educational trip in advance would be best kept in mind. Places that would engaged the students attention mainly. Balancing learning and fun can be harder on a trip. Again, experience can make a huge difference in finding attractions that walk this line best.
Fund, time, discipline etc are the problems for the field trips. If the fund is available, problems can be solved.
ReplyDeleteOf course, field trip organisation is very much important for students so that they learn or collect information about observing events and real life activities in that places where field trip is planned. But there is a problem due to the lack or unavailable of financial assistance. This can be resolved only when the government provide financial assistance.
ReplyDelete- Institution having large no student enrolment are likely to face problem
Delete- Fund constrain will be there in many institution as well as for students
- Extension of grants/necessary arrangement for lodging, food and travel shall solve the problem for field visit
The problems that we will be facing while organising the field visit for the vocational students are many. Some of these problems are strength of the class, funding assistance, time constraint, transportation and parental consent.
ReplyDeleteWe can resolve these problems by making an organise plan strategies, cooperation of the teachers and parents ,financial aids from the stakeholders, etc.
Management of students and fund for the field visit and time management is most
ReplyDeleteEducational field trip is an important part in the learning process because it helps the students to have a better understanding of what they are learning. Such trips are even more important when talking about the vocational students. However, such most of the time, we realise that it is not easy to arrange such trips due to many reasons. Some of them are lack of financial support, lack of support from parents, difficult to manage for a large number of students, lack of a proper guide, sometimes the firm might not be willing to welcome the students, and so on.
ReplyDeleteWhen talk about financial support, a proper understanding on the side of the parents and the management can help. Regarding management of students, that can be solve by involving more staff in the company. The respective firms can be made to understand the value of the trip so that they will have no problem in allowing the students.
The main problem is somehow the financial support especially the private institutions since they are not funded by the state and one more ia that certifications may not be valid and this may act as a problem to the students undergoing such course especially those in private institutions or set up
ReplyDeleteThe main problem which arise in the organisation of educational field trip are
ReplyDeleteFunding, transportation, to find the best site which give all the students need for their knowledge, time manage ment
Practical teaching is more worth than theory. But school should have fund so that it could be proper trip . parents should agree and a good management. If problems could be solved by the school than practical training is worth
ReplyDeleteField trips give students a chance to get out of the classroom and experience something new like real world experience. The problems are 1.Field trip can be expensive and some students may not have the funds to attend. 2. Students will be out the school building for a field trip, which mean they will miss other classes.
ReplyDeleteParents consent, finance, transportation and safety of the students for the field trips are some of the drawbacks.
ReplyDeleteThe problems are transportation problem and financial problem.
ReplyDeleteThe main problems is ofcourse fund if it's solved everything is solved so to solve this problems we should not give a burden of bringing amount for the trip to the pupils it is better to seek the help of school MC and manage funds by collecting donations or contributing by the teachers themselves.
ReplyDeleteThe strength of the class and financial problems.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem in organizing field may be funs, transportation, number of students. But these problems can be solved by proper planning, gatherings funds ,visiting in batches.
ReplyDeleteFund for the field trip and time management is most important to give knowledge to the students.
ReplyDeleteThe problems that could arise while organizing field visits are lack of funds, time constraints and students strength
ReplyDeleteField trip to vocational training centers or work places is a good thing for exposure or motivation to students and also encourage them through their on the spot and first hand information about the vocation.
ReplyDeleteProblems related with field trips for school students may arise in some aspects such as students' lack of interest or enthusiasm towards the vocation, poor family background so that some students could not afford to far off places as we know currently government financial assistance to these types of trips comes are always delayed and not provide at the required time, government encouragement and awareness is lacking far behind than what is seen in government policies planning. The government in this case is preaching about what it actually not practicing, and many other reasons which hinder and made India lacking in the rate of skilled manpower as compared to other developed countries.
The main problem for field trip or field visit is financial support whether it is from the parents side, Government side it is also from sponsoring body of the school.
ReplyDeleteField visit is an educational procedure by which students learn and gain information and knowledge by observing of real life activities at the workplace but it will be a problem for the school as a whole to arrange a field trip as it require funds assistance, Planning the trip,Transportation, parental consent, engaging students, time constraint.
ReplyDeleteThere are various problems while organizing of the field visits for the Vocational students:
ReplyDelete. Funding
. Creating the Trip Plan
. Educational Aspects
. Time Management
. Engaging Students
. Transportation
. Weather
Proper planning is needed in order to organize a field trip. As far as Educational Aspects, the field trip should be a research project that includes data collection. Students should have a sense of what the field trip is going to be before they go. The organizer should check the weather forecast and have the students prepare accordingly. The destination should be familiar to the organizer for successful execution of the trip.
Learning outside the classroom should be fun and interesting to the students as they get to observe events and real life experiences.
The strength of the class may cause a problem for teachers to handle a huge number of students.
ReplyDeleteWhile organising field trip, we encounter financial problem, transportation problem, time management and so on. To resolve all these proper planning is important.
ReplyDeleteWith regard to field visits of students/ trainees, certain activities/issues have to be properly planned and effectively executed so that problems may be avoided. First of all, permission for the field visit has to be obtained from the concerned authority as well as from the company/industry/field where such trades are being carried out. Secondly an estimate for cost of transportation, fooding,, lodging etc. has to be approved and sanctioned by the authority so that the field trip could be conducted. Thirdly, safety measures for all students/ guides should be arranged so that injuries that may occur due to probable accidents may be minimized and in case of any untoward incident,, remedies for relief should also be considered in advance.
ReplyDeleteThe class size is problematic due to possibility for conflict. Some professors may struggle with big classes. Lack of resources and disinterest. Planning a field trip for students can be difficult due to a lack of school administration support, poor preparations and funds, unqualified instructors, and unmotivated pupils. Convincing management of the relevance and advantages to students is the first step. To help kids achieve, teachers must plan ahead of time. This includes talking to parents and preparing them. However, bringing children on field excursions may be difficult owing to time and budgetary restrictions. These issues can only be addressed if educational institutions are funded.
ReplyDeleteSome problems that may be encountered while organising field visits are transporting students from a big class with huge number of students to the fields, fear and doubts by the parents/guardians to let their children/wards go out of the school, lack of industries in close proximity to the school, etc. These problems can be solved by carefully planning out the field visits and dividing the class into two or more batches for the visits. The cooperation and participation of the parents can also be sought and they can also share the responsibility of looking after their wards while on these visits.
ReplyDeleteField visits to such kind of vocational centres would surely help students to learn and to see by their own naked eye the scenarios of workplace. But at the same time if the educator or the teacher themself do not have any kind of information regarding the field visits or are not trained enough with the kind of vocationalisation, problem will arise as students will also depend on them for exact information regarding the field visits and regarding the vocational scenarios.
ReplyDeleteProblems usually encountered when organizing field trips is lack of fund especially in rural areas where we have to go outside our village. But now we have solve the problem by organizing field trips within our village and visiting our local entrepreneurs thus we are able to visit with less funding
ReplyDeleteField study is a great opportunity for learners to learn. Thr main problem is that it is hard for large classes to go out since supervision is mandatory. Moreover, there is no funding from the government for such activities. However, teachers and school heads should work hand in hand with the education block office to ensure that these field learning becomes mandatory for learners.
ReplyDeleteField visit is an educational procedure by which students gain or learned information by observing of a real life activities at the workplace. There may be problems at first because students use to classroom teaching.Secondly problem of transportation expensive and discipline problem.
ReplyDeleteField work is a part and parcel of the teaching learning process. Students can gained a lot through field visit but problems will definitely be there .field trips involves a lot of expenditure but i feel that it can be done with adequate fundings from all stake holders.
ReplyDeleteField visit or OJT is essential for the students to learn more about the topic, which was taught in the class. The learners will use the theoretical knowledge of syllabus to its practically. There will be always some problem, when one will take a group. Some of the following may be referred before going for field visit. Though I am not in vocational section, still I take a field visit. I take Geography for +2 section. It helps the learners a lot. All lies with incharge teacher. I enjoy the work.
ReplyDeleteFor OJT, there should be a proper planning, Fund raising, place to stay, transportation, etc. If one will do a proper home work before going for field visit, then there will be no problem in the course field visit.
1) The incharge teacher should have clear concept about the first visit. Means what is the purpose of the field work?
2) Selection of students, who can support the incharge teacher when ever needed.
3) Place of visit (industry/office/fabrication center, etc.) and its importance how it will help the trainy in their future life.
4) Then comes important thing, i.e., fund raising.
There are many to say. But some of important one I have cited above.
Field visit for the vocational students is a great advantage. Proper planning alongside prior information about the trip can motivate them . Funding and financial assistance can help resolve many more problems.
ReplyDeleteBudget restraints, lack of chaperons, difficulty controlling student behaviour, organising an engaging lesson and dealing with anxious children are potential challenges. Establishing rules, soliciting support and proper planning can alleviate many of the disadvantages of taking a field trip.
ReplyDeleteSome of the problems could be time, proper planning, funds, transportation, number of students etc.
ReplyDeleteField visit will definitely aid the students in accumulating broader knowledge and insight.
ReplyDeleteBut there maybe a lot of hindrances as well that may stand as obstacles. For instance, funds, time management, consent from parents especially if it involves additional financial support, transportation, big class, etc. Though to all these hindrances, solutions and remedies maybe available if dealt carefully.
Student experience and gain information if they are expose to real life activities.to take students to field visits require proper planning and implementing them, vocational trained teacher, lots of funds/ money to pay/buy things, consent from parents/ guardian is required which is time consuming( some may agree/disagree).To resolve those problems the school head ,teaching and non teaching staff's, parents have to work together as a team.
ReplyDeleteField visit help students to have better understanding of what they are learning, but organising field visits may face many problems like financial, time management, parents consent etc.
ReplyDeleteProblems in organizing field visits for the vocational students are:
ReplyDelete..Funding
..Creating the trip plan
..Time management
..Engaging students
..Transportation
..Weather
..Finding location
Solutions:
..Appropriate fund allocation
..Parents' co-operation
..Encouraging students to stay focus and create learning experience rather than a fun time with friends
..Engaging the school bus other than public transport
..Avoid the field visits during rainy season
..Arrange with the locals of the area.
Field Visits for Vocational Students
ReplyDeleteProgram on visits to industry conducted earlier was simply a general educational tour and not for the purpose of vocational courses. Hence without any experience, field visits to an industry for vocational students would be based on tentative expectations and imagination of problems that may be encountered if such programs are organised. The following problems are in the context of urban school that may apply even in the rural areas in Meghalaya. They are:
* Planning for organizing field visits to industry will pose a challenge as the location of the school is not in the vicinity of the industry or any institutions related to subjects meant for field visits.
* When there are diverse learners opting for specific vocational courses and to make learning more inclusive, such programs will need proper planning, especially if CWSN students are one of the members of the team, due to the risk factor involved that will also depend on the type of industry that was planned to visit.
* Vocational courses need close partnership and collaboration with parents, community-based organizations and other stakeholders. Hence the task involved for successful and complete arrangements is time consuming.
* If the percentage of students opting for a specific Vocational Courses is high, it involves a lot of expenditures for such activities outside the school campus. If the school's financial strength is not sufficient to meet the need of such a program which is part and parcel of the vocational course that requires external funding and support, success and smooth functioning of such activities cannot be guaranteed.
* During field visits, if students lack clear theoretical information and knowledge, they will surely not benefit or learn just by observation or one time visit and not to mention their ability to link or apply the technical knowledge with real life situations.
The important area of concern for solving these problems will mainly include the following:
* Problems may exist but it does not mean that they are permanent. At the initial stage such problems we may encounter but then through proper planning and management they can be solved over a period of time.
* Keeping in view the far reaching positive effects of integration of vocational with academic streams all schools need visionary and dynamic leaders supported by strong and effective school management.
* Heads of schools need to build a strong partnership and collaboration with varied stakeholders in providing guidance, support, and services as the school alone cannot fulfill the needs or demands of vocational courses.
* Generation of funds for sound financial strength of the school is of prime importance, firstly for equipping schools with all basic infrastructure required for vocational courses and this can be done in collaboration with all stakeholders as well as the support from government.
*Good basic infrastructure will ultimately help in professional development of vocational teachers, mentors or facilitators.
* If schools have efficient and qualified trainers or teaching staff it will enhance students' interest, motivation, performance and achieve desirable learning outcomes.
Change and development will surely happen with commitment and systematic planning of all involved but it will not happen in quantum leap over a short period of time.
Lack of natural resources due to environmental degradation and problem arises on the spot workplace.
ReplyDeleteExposing students to the practical world of vocation will definitely have some genuine problems. First of all, our students are used to confined classroom teaching, so ,the sudden field exposure will either make them more curious or on the other hand it may become a boring affair to them. To tackle the problems the concerned teachers first need to be trained, so that they can motivate students to mentally be prepared for such field trips. This can be done with the help of some audio visual aids. These aids may help students to explore the facts and figures in their trip.
ReplyDeleteThe hardest part of planning a school trip are
ReplyDeleteFunding, time management, organizing and engaging lesson and dealing with anxious children are potential challenges.
To cope with these problems, the teacher should consult with other teachers for the place, making plan strategies, fund raising from stakeholders.
Field visit regarding vocational education can be challenging here, one of the main reason is unavailable industrial sectors that could impart valuable information and encourage students to be interested in the different industrial sectors
ReplyDeletestrategies employ to meet this short coming is introducing them to an alternative form of vocational education by exploring the world of agriculture and animal husbandry
SEEING WITH OWN STUDENTS'OWN EYES IS MORE BELIEVABLE.FIELD VISIT TO INDUSTRIAL AREAS ARE ABSOLUTE PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS THAN IMAGINING THINGS IN A CLASSROOM.PROBLEM MAY BE FUND CRUNCH, TEACHER WHO IS NOT SAVVY TO ENLIGHTENED THE STUDENTS MORE ON THE TRIP.
ReplyDeleteOne problem may be : the students may not all be content with the field trip to visit at the particular workplace planned.
ReplyDeleteSolution: need to discuss other's interest also, beforehand.
Field visit help students to gain some insight experience about what is going in real life working place but the problem is the students don't get enough time to observe and learn. To solve this problem we need to frequently organised this kind of exposure trip to help students gain more knowledge and experience

Field trip is an important part of teaching learning process where students learn by seeing and observing . Field visits first of all requires financial assistance ,huge man power where only one teacher cannot organize it and lastly it should be well planned thereby taking extra time and effort of the teacher . We can overcome financial problem by starting a class fund where students themselves contribute small amount every month right from the beginning of the new scholastic year . We can seek the cooperation of other teachers regarding man power management and finally spend a little extra time for planning and organizing .
ReplyDeleteField visit is one of the best tools that provide students with real world experience.Students begin to see what they learn in the classroom, can help them solve problems they see in the world around them.Field visits make concepts more memorable. But organising field visits requires funds, transportation and it is also time constraints.More over here in our region there are hardly big industrail units.

ReplyDeleteField visits may be a problem if the site is neither available or not relevant to the course or the distance may be too far
ReplyDeleteFirstly the funding is a major factor which has to be thought of right from the beginning of the academic session. Also the availability of the site related to the vocational subject is also a factor to be thought of
ReplyDeleteSince we are living in a society where academic education is given a much higher importance, vocational education is treated as a hobby by most. Therefore, there is very little interest from both the parents and the students as they are not very well acquainted with what vocational education really means. Also, there are various issues like lack of information of the teacher, transportation issues and especially funding issues.
ReplyDeleteWhere the teacher can easily equip themselves with the information about such types of courses by learning about them and enrolling themselves in some special classes and interest in students and parents can also be generated by handing them out information about the various skills of vocational education and the career opportunities in it, either through PowerPoint presentation, videos or pictures. ReplyDeleteThe field visit is an educational procedure by which each student gains or learns information by observing events and other real-life activities at the workplace. What problems can you encounter in organisation of the field visits for the vocational students and how would you resolve those problems? Share your thoughts.
Field visits is an extremely important aspect of education where students are given an opportunity to familiarise with the real working environment. While beneficial, organising a field visit does present its own set of challenges.
Field visits would require more teachers to be taken out from regular classes to supervise a large class of students, as it would be counter-productive to take only small teams as taking small teams would require more visits for which the work-place may not have time to spare.
Field visits would require extra funds, in arranging transportation costs and refreshments for the students. Moreover it requires careful planning and coordination to ensure that the visit will provide the correct exposure to students. Locating a suitable workplace that would agree to a visit might be difficult.
However, field visits are definitely worth to be organised as the benefits outweigh the challenges. Such challenges can be resolved through advance planning, proper budget allocation and optimum human resource management.
Ms B Lamare
Field trips are educationally very rewarding. Funds ,time, transport, lack of support, are some deterrents. Well-chalked out plans and prior motivation will remove some of the problems. State- funding, contributed funds, parental support and teachers deeply interested in taking the students on field trips may resolve some of the problems.
ReplyDeleteA proper planning and support from school management is the first requirement before field visits. It will be expensive and time consuming but can be done with proper funding from all stakeholders. Experience teachers ,enthusiasm from the students and discipline in the field will enable them in their field work.
ReplyDeleteThe first problem we may face is transportation of students to the real-work-field (that is factories, agricultural farms, etc.) Secondly, excess to witness real time activities of the workers which has to be granted by the authorities.
ReplyDeleteSuch field trips can be very expensive . So School authorities can come up with solutions so as to provide opportunities to learners without fail.
ReplyDeleteIn Organising field visits in Vocational Education we can encounter problems as under:
ReplyDelete1) Distance of the industry from the school
2) Expenditure is more
3) Tme consuming
However, these problems can be resolved through proper planning .
The main problems that one encounter in organisation of field trips for the vocational students are lack of funds, large number of students, transportation.
ReplyDeleteThe problems can be resolved by proper planning with the colleagues and parents consent.
Problems that are facing to organize students for exposure to vocational workplaces are monetary expenditures for transport costs, remoteness of the areas, students willingness and aspiration for exposure, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe following are the problems in organising a field visit are:
ReplyDelete1. Permission from parents
2. Transportation
3. Safety
4. Finance

2. Relaible transportation
3. Cooperation between parents and school management for effective planning
...to get the appointment with the organisation/ Industry / factory ...of the site for the trip as most of it is situated outskirt...
ReplyDeleteNeed to look for some near/close by field trip.
This is a much needed idea but there are certain constraints that most institutions are facing as this would not be a one day or two visit it will require a regular visit so that student get the required skills...wbich involve a huge cost for an institution.to bear...
ReplyDeleteThis is a much needed idea but there are certain constraints that most institutions are as this would not be a one ar two day visit so as the students get the required skill. Which involve huge cost
ReplyDeleteField trips keep students chance to get out of the classroom and experiences, something new like real world experience.
ReplyDeleteField trips has many problem such as..
* Can be expensive and some students may not have the fund to attend.
* Students will be out the school building for a field trip, which mean they will miss other classes.
* Problems of transportation expensive and discipline problems.
It is good to plan a field trip but it is dificult to get funds.
ReplyDeleteFew problems are there in making a field trip...Roll strength of the class may be one problem...funding the trip is another problem...classroom habit may be another problem and ofcourse parent consent...
ReplyDeleteHowever, the above problems can be overcome...more teachers may accompany the learners...funding may be arranged and parent consent may be granted...a briefing by the teachers about the trip is of utmost importance...

ReplyDeleteField trip is an important part in the learning process because it helps the students to have a better understanding of what they are learning. Such trips are even more important when talking about the vocational students. However, such most of the time, we realise that it is not easy to arrange such trips due to many reasons. Some of them are lack of financial support, lack of support from parents, difficult to manage for a large number of students, lack of a proper guide, sometimes the firm might not be willing to welcome the students, and so on
ReplyDeleteBudget restraints, lack of chaperons, difficulty controlling student behavior, organizing an engaging lesson and dealing with anxious children are potential challenges. Establishing rules, soliciting support and proper planning can alleviate many of the disadvantages.

ReplyDeleteThe problems we encounter in organizing field visits for the vocational students are:
1.Need to make the trip affordable for all ranges of students.
2.To coordinate scheduling the tour to get the most out of our field trip/visits of the students
3. To make sure that the places we visit are related to the state’s standards of learning.
4.We need to make sure everyone on this tour complies with the schedule
Solution to problems stated above are:
1.Every school or youth group has experience with fundraising. We could write about door-to-door sales, help from the PTA, social media and crowdfunding campaigns etc…
2. The best solution to this problem is talking to someone who knows a lot about the destination. It may seem self-serving, but a good place to start is a student tour company preferably one that has years of experience about the surrounding.
3.For most trips, making sure the tour relates to state requirements is not too difficult. Well-known destinations and attractions in cities.
Balancing learning and fun can be harder on a trip. Again, experience can make a huge difference in finding attractions that walk this line best.
4.We can always build in extra time busing city-to-city and neighbourhood-to-neighbourhood, as transportation always takes a bit longer than one would think. We can add an extra 30 minutes to the itinerary to follow the scheduled as planned.
