  13. In 2020, the government of Meghalaya in collaboration with CR Projects, started an online learning portal for classes KG to X. This is a free e-learning portal that ensures continuity in student learning in the midst of the pandemic.

  14. The Education Department, Govt of Meghalaya has signed an MOU with DDK Shillong ana AIR for broadcasting lessons to students designed by the Dept and focus on hard spots if the School Curriculum. Students can tune in to AIR Shillong, Tura or Jowai for these lectures.

Previously the state government provides free tablet to every class x and xii students after successful result of their examination.So this method should be follow in our present government by providing affordable tablet to each and every secondary and higher secondary students especially those coming from poor economically background so that they can go along with the need of time.So i feel other states in the country should follow the same.

  19. The State has digitize the Textbook of the State Board Syllabus in Diksha Portal for all the Students of Meghalaya to access through the Website and Mobile app. All this is done with DERT Shillong along with SRGs and various school teachers of Meghalaya.

  20. Preserving forests (as sacred groves) is an unique example which is practiced in our state to educate learners about the importance, usage and conservation of natural environment as a part of environmental education.
    Students should be taken for a visit to the sacred groves and be interacted with the communities who looked after these forests.

  21. In my state in general and my school in particular, there are several seminars and awareness programme with career counseling for the personality development of the learners. The Govt of Meghalaya has been instrumental in starting several educative seminars and one such was allowing the students of Class X to witness the proceedings of the Working of the Legislative Assembly during the Assembly Session so that the learners can see and learn how the proceeding of the Assembly Session works and also witness the live proceedings of the Question Hour and how Bills are passed in The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.It was a first of its kind which was overwhelmingly acknowledged by all people of the society because students are the future leaders of the state and the nation. This type of noble endeavor is certainly a role model for other states who have not conducted such programs. Kudos to the Government of Meghalaya.

  23. I've been serving my institution for past 25 years & being in a govt. school i always had the opportunity to serve the students from grassroot levels & underprivileged sections.
    Something which i found to be very unique in my institution was that most of the senior teachers would serve the students voluntarily even on vacations & holidays. I learnt it too from them & tried to continue it for almost 18 years but later on i gave up.

  29. Our state is being know for its exquisite beauty and its culture and tradition that the three tribes, The Khasi, The Jaintia and The Garo have been practicing.
    The cultural enriching programme carried by the government and the indigenous people every year. Their love for mother nature and maintenance of its beauty has been attracting tourists from every corners of the world.

  32. The Government of Meghalaya has started the online learning portal in collaboration with CR Projects for class KG to X such as E- learning portal,Digital Content Portal.
    The Education Department,government of Meghalaya has also signed an MoU with DDK ,Shillong and AIR for broadcasting lessons to students
    DERT is currently working with PLCs from different districts for content creation,curriculum mapping,etc.

  36. The following are the practices that are practised in certain areas of Meghalaya:

    1. Distribution of tablets to all the students of class XII was a right track that was taken by the government of Meghalaya.

    2. Distribution of exercise books and textbooks to deserving under - privileged students both in urban and especially in rural areas some NGOs.

    The above two can be an example to other states and UTs.

    The term shad suk mynsiem mean the dances for peace and mind,it is called the festival of a blissful soul.
    The festival is symbolic where the women stand for the seeds and the man are the metaphor of cultivators.

We have seen the behavior of children today emotions are playing with them we need to keep them stable. Their own emotions are driving them crazy eg. Dropping out from school , broken families, suicides, early marriages, etc all these have been the factors which are barriers for the all around development.

  60. The Khasi, Garo and Jaiñtia tribes of Meghalaya believes in a casteless society. Moreover, the women folks enjoy an equal status with the men folks in the society.     1. Environment friendly food festival wherein everything used from products to packaging was biogradable. Stalls sold environment friendly products and cloth/paper bags were used.
