  1. For kindergarten children, it's very much useful as they relate & identify their life with those toys. So we should give toys of their choice not according to the gender. It's not a good practice to give baby boys toys of gun etc.

    Example while teaching probability in maths subject toys like balls, marbles, numbered cards can be use to demonstrate the concept of probability . And also in mensuration toys like a ball which is a sphere can be use , in order that students can visualize as well as practice hands on learning.

I can create cotton stuffed soft toys of the Indian soldiers and dress them accordingly as they would look during the First World War to teach them the poem " The Gift Of India" by Sarojini Naidu where Indian soldiers were sent to the different European countries as a part of colonial soldiers and they died there in the line of duty and buried in alien lands and not given any military honours.The soft toys of the soldiers can be shown with blood strewn bodies lying at sixes and sevens and this can be a good way to teach the poem and make them understand the theme of the poem more effectively.

  46. Using toys in classroom is really a good method in teaching and learning process. A plastic ball, a marble can be used to get the concept of buoyancy. A plastic hollow straw can give the students to get a clear concept of rectilinear propagation of light. Marble shaped clay, coloured balls can be utilised to demonstrate probability. A ball, a perfect example of a sphere can be used to explain to find the area, volume of a sphere.

As a teacher of Mathematics, I will use toy to explain them certain Algebraic Identities ,Also I can use toy to show the Angle Sum property of Triangles or quadrilateral by demonstration method.   57. Undoubtedly, toy based learning is fulfilled, interesting and enjoyable as the learners can relate the concepts of learning with the toys. The monotony of learning only from texts can be replaced with the thrill and excitement of participating by exploring, imagining, creating and making content based toys which will help them have a clear and better understanding, to help them in learning as well as remembering the different concepts.
    The subjects such as Social Science and English have wide prospects of using various kinds of toys depending on the content which gives us an opportunity to understand the topic/s in a creative manner and remove the boredom of textual learning.
    For example, students can be taught and asked to to make toy models of various national leaders and freedom fighters as well as different characters in poetry and prose pieces out of eco-friendly materials such as papier-mache, old rags, left over wool, clay along with colours, to make learning more interesting. Puppets and toys using sticks and paper cut outs representing different characters can also be made and used to make learning a joyful experience.

    Toys can become an integral part of a physics class. Many interesting toys can be designed to teach, clarify and reinforce concepts. If the toys are designed and made by the students themselves, the engagement in the class and understanding of the topic improves immediately. What is more, students learn problem solving in the process of making the toy. When the toys are made and designed by the learners either individually or in groups, there is ownership and a natural sense of competition and hence engagement.   72. For the topic Meghalaya's Resistance to British Dominion - history - class 9, the students can make dolls depicting these warriors complete with their costumes, jewellery and weapons.
    Based on the above, questions can be asked about -
    Costumes - the fabric that was used during those times , how were they procured - locally or from elsewhere etc.
    Weapons- the metal being used ,its procurement and blacksmithing in Meghalaya.
    Jewelry- the procurement of precious metal and stones and who taught them the art of goldsmithy.
    Again, based on the above one can relate to the type of economy and the trading relations of the people of that era.
    One can perform puppetry with the dolls to showcase the events that took place.
    One can create a poem about these warriors.

For children of lower classes it's quite easier to centralize toys in classroom learning.But for secondary, relation of theoretical knowledge with practical life applications is required.So,toys can be used in Mathematics classes. Like showing a wheel of a car, circus ring, to explain about Circles.Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary aspect of toys can also be used. Relating the dome, pyramid, 3D objects, to explain Mensuration.Showing the game of Chess to relate it with algebraic geometry.
