Course 4: Activity 4 - Share your Thoughts
Sketch your dream house using the three dimensional shapes like sphere, cone, cuboid, cube etc. and count the number of shapes you have used in the sketch. Appreciate the architectural beauty of the created sketch by using any medium of expression of your choice. You may express your thoughts in the form of a limerick (5 line humorous poem with lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyming to each other) or in the form of expressive passages. Share your limerick.

Students would observe the environment day with active participation in cleaning the school premises and planting of trees, to be followed by cultural programs of singing, dancing, dramas based on the environment day.

3) Organising seminars and debates highlighting the issue regarding the importance of saving the environment.
3) Conducting Clean and Drive programme in our school and many more activities can be conducted.

ReplyDeleteI can tell the students of Class X to prepare a one act play in English and incorporate both the boys and girls to take active part to create a sense of Co-operative learning and coming together with the concept of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyaan and the theme of the play would also be the same.I can help them with writing the dialogues and choosing the characters of thr play. The dialogue delivery will play a pivotal role as to engage the students in language interactions, with expressions and intonation also also keeping in mind the phonetics of language learning.It will serve two purposes- Firstly, it will encourage the Students to have a rendezvous with each other in English language which will inculcate the habit of talking in English fluently and secondly- It will initiate co- operative domain of learning which is a part of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyaan and this type of activities will help open the cognitive abilities of the learners.

For environmental activities like conducting awareness programmes on environment - cause and effects of pollutions on environment, debates, quiz, drawing, paintings, essay writings, making and displaying art and craft eco- friendly cleaning drive, tree plantation, street play can be conducted and other activities.

The main aim of Samagra Shiksha is to help the learners to develop to their fullest potential. ReplyDelete1. A trip to Sacred Heart Museum for cultural as well as general knowledge.
2. A trip to historical sites such as Nartiang -JH, Krem Tirot - WKH, U Lum Sohpet Bneng - RB, Ka Ìng Sad - EKH for cultural and historical knowledge.
3.A trip to Root Bridge - EKH and Mawphlang Sacred Groove - EKH to inspire children to revere mother nature and gain knowledge on how to create a balance in the ecosystem.
Some activities relating to promoting cultural and environmental awareness which also are conducive to school students are programmes such as quiz, debate, essay writing, drawing and painting, native food festivals, workshop and seminars on the theme and etcetera. These programmes and activities if conduct every year by the schools will enhance students' knowledge and awareness about culture and the environment.

ReplyDeleteThis can be imbibed in the children by celebrating the different cultural events and festivals, to a possible extent and provide knowledge about their importance and relevance.
The students can be encouraged to participate in fancy dress competitions in different traditional attires and also make them aware as well as participate in cultural music and dance.
Fairs can be arranged in the school, as a part of annual school day event, wherein, children from different cultural backgrounds can set up food courts of different cultural cuisines.
All this can be made a part of the school curriculum which will help children to learn and respect the diverse cultures.
Secondly, under environmental aspect, the children should be encouraged to undertake cleanliness
drives not only in the school but also within the neighbourhood.
They in turn can spread awareness amongst the neighbours and members of the community about the need and importance of cleanliness and conservation of the environment as well as encourage them to also participate in such programmes.
Besides, raising awareness through painting and art competitions, slogan writing, quiz, essay writing and debate competitions which are regular events, students can be encouraged to carry out tree plantation programmes other than on World Environment Day.
Gardening as a hobby can also be encouraged among children.

Many celebrations of different communities have an environmental aspect linked to it traditionally. These events will be celebrated and the importance of environmental protection underlined.

ReplyDeleteWe can do lots of socio-culture activities/programmes/events/drives/projects like Clean drives,dances,exhibitions encouraging indigenous products and arts,can have competitions like drawing n paintings etc

2. Storytelling sessions focussing on folklore especially for the lower classes.
3. Group activities based on the life and history of particular ethnic group/tribe.
Encouraging students to participate in cultural related activities like drama, debate, dance, arts, etc. Students are encouraged to share their views in current environmental issues.

ReplyDeleteUnder the cultural and environmental aspect of Samagra Shiksha, many activities can be conducted so as to create awareness among the learners on various issues such as conservation of environment, importance of culture and traditions, health, games and sports and so on. Programes such as tree plantation, cleaning drives, school sports,cultural shows,competitions relating to cultures and environment in the form of essay, debate, painting and skit can also be conducted.
